Nadi Dosha and cancellation in kundli matching

Nadi carries the highest point weight in Ashtakoota, but its meaning cannot be reduced to alarm. See how the component is derived, where exceptions may apply, and what a report can responsibly say.

01

What Nadi Koota compares

Nadi Koota groups the birth nakshatras into traditional Nadi categories and compares the pair. In the commonly used Ashtakoota scale it contributes up to eight of thirty-six points, which makes it numerically prominent. The points express one rule inside one system; they are not a medical or biological test.

Because the component begins with nakshatra, a birth near a lunar boundary deserves special care. If the nakshatra can change within an uncertain birth interval, the Nadi conclusion should be qualified or withheld.

02

Why Nadi Dosha appears

In a standard rule set, the concern appears when both nakshatras fall in the same Nadi grouping. Some traditional texts and lineages then examine additional chart conditions before reaching a final interpretive view. Software should distinguish the base component from those later exceptions.

  • Verify both calculated nakshatras and their boundary confidence.
  • See the Nadi category assigned to each person.
  • Identify the exact rule that returned attention or points.
  • Treat later cancellation as a separate, evidenced finding.
03

How a cancellation claim should be checked

Cancellation practices vary. Some consider different rashis, nakshatra lords, or other conditions; others require a broader chart review. A responsible report names the supported condition and leaves the rest for a qualified reviewer. It does not quietly convert a concern into a pass.

If two astrologers disagree, ask which textual or lineage rule each is applying and whether both used the same birth data. The disagreement may come from the rule set rather than the planetary calculation.

04

Keep eight points in perspective

Nadi is one component of Ashtakoota and Ashtakoota is one traditional lens. A thoughtful decision also considers the other component facts, any regional family tradition, the reliability of the input, and the couple’s lived compatibility.

Claims about health, fertility, or the outcome of children should not be presented as established facts. Medical questions belong with qualified clinicians and personal information shared with consent.

MangalyaYoga shows the calculation and its limits. It does not turn a traditional category into a medical prediction.
