What the Manglik label is trying to describe
Manglik or Kuja Dosha traditions examine Mars in selected houses from one or more chart reference points. The counted houses and the weight given to Moon, Venus, lagna, D1, or D9 vary by lineage. That variation is why a report must name the rule set instead of displaying an unexplained badge.
A result also depends on an accurate house framework. If the birth time cannot support the ascendant, lagna-based conclusions cannot be treated as certain even when the date is known.
When one chart is labelled Manglik
A Manglik and non-Manglik pairing is traditionally reviewed for the particular Mars placements in both charts, their strength, aspects, sign condition, and the presence of exceptions recognized by that system. It is not enough to compare two profile labels that may have been produced with different rules.
The review should keep the original placement visible beside any cancellation. A cancellation does not erase the fact; it explains why the tradition may interpret its effect differently.

- Check whether either birth time is approximate or unknown.
- Locate the Mars placement and reference point that triggered the rule.

How cancellation rules should appear
Different traditions recognize different cancellation conditions. A transparent engine evaluates only the conditions it can support from calculated facts, identifies the versioned rule, and leaves unsupported claims unavailable. It should never add a reassuring sentence that cannot be traced to the charts.

Ask what exact rule produced the concern, whether it appears from lagna or another reference, whether both charts were calculated from reliable times, and which exception is being applied. If the answers cannot be shown, seek a fresh calculation or a qualified review.
Then return to the couple’s own discussions. A traditional concern may be one item in a family consultation; it should not become a substitute for consent, compatibility in daily life, or respectful decision-making.
